The DMC Clad Metal Group strength results from the consolidation of leading explosion clad manufacturers in North America and Europe. DMC Clad Metal USA, formerly Explosive Fabricators, Inc., brings reliable manufacturing experience, creativity, and marketing savvy. The 1996 acquisition of DuPont’s Detaclad, the original explosion cladding company, brought the massive underground detonation chamber near Mt. Braddock, PA, and a dominant position in the American market. In parallel, Nobelclad consolidated a myriad of small European explosion cladding companies into two strategically located operations in France and Sweden. The 2001 consolidation of the European and US operations under DMC brought synergies in technology, sales, and marketing unparalleled in the world clad metal industry.
