Mt. Braddock, Pennsylvania Factory

This highly mechanized, explosion clad manufacturing plant was located, designed and built to be the best facility in the world for producing explosion welded clad in the world. It is fully facilitated so all manufacturing and inspection are in-house. This is important to maintain the reliable delivery and quality for which DMC, Mt. Braddock has become known.

The Mt. Braddock plant was commissioned in 1999. It is located close to the world’s largest underground explosion “shooting” chamber. Assembled plates are transported daily for the explosion welding process. The underground chamber permits operations around the clock, every day of the year, adding to the productivity of the operation.

Together, the factory and the shooting chamber combine to make an efficient, productive team dedicated to customer satisfaction.

The Shooting Chamber is almost a mile deep in the hard rock mountain.
