Most engineering metals with adequately, moderate strength and good ductility, similar to those shown below can be explosion welded, one to one another. Some less common commercially pure metals and alloys can be combined but are not typically used in commercial applications. In addition to bi-metallic combinations multi-layer, explosion welded sandwiches are routinely combined for various reasons.
