DMC NitroMetall is located, like other DMC manufacturing sites, in a beautiful location, the hills and forests of Sweden.

Also, as with the other explosion cladding divisions Nitro Metall started as a Detaclad® licensee in 1976. The explosion-shooting site was near Nora. In 1973 the Company moved production to Likenas. The sales office is now located in Filipstad.

In 1992 the predecessor Company to DMC Nobelclad bought controlling interest in NitroMetall. Then in 2001 Dynamic Materials Corporation bought Nobelclad Europe that included NitroMetall.

DMC NitroMetall has unique capabilities in products for electrochemical applications, shipboard uses, chemical manufacturing, oil-refining, pulp and paper production.

When compared to DMC’s two other manufacturing plants NitroMetall has special capabilities in very thin, bi-metal sheet welding. Nickel and titanium combinations as thin as 1 millimeter are a typical product for chlorine production cells.

DMC Nitrometall is located for quick deliveries to Northern Europe and Germany. Tube-sheet blanks used in heat exchangers by petrochemical manufacturers are explosion clad with metals such as stainless steel, copper alloys, nickel alloys, titanium and zirconium. DMC NitroMetall can deliver tube-sheet blanks within a few weeks after receipt of the metals.

We can clad customer supplied metal but the better solution is allow NitroMetall to procure the component metals to insure that they meet customer specifications as well as chemical and physical requirements of the explosion welding process.

Plates Are Rolled or Pressed to Required Tolerances

Shipments are dispatched all of the world and quality is assured with ISO 9002 certification as with all DMC explosion welding factories. Laboratory testing, certification and is all handled by skilled engineers and technicians.

DMC NitroMetall is constantly improving processes and facilities in the continuous program practiced at all DMC cladding facilities.
